Saint Michael, Defend us in Battle.

St. Michael the Archangel,

defend us in battle.

Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.

May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,

and do thou,

O Prince of the heavenly hosts,

by the power of God,

thrust into hell Satan,

and all the evil spirits,

who prowl about the world

seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Written by Pope Leo XIII in 1884

The told story by Pope Leo XIII is refuted and debated but it is told that after a mass The Pope had seen a vision of The devil talking with Christ claiming he would destroy the Church in 100 years. The devil continually believes that it will overcome the will of God but the created will never overcome the Creator. After this frightening vision Pope Leo the XIII wrote this battle prayer and had it canonized in the Catholic church.

This Prayer has reportedly been used by the faithful against demonic activity. It is a simple understanding The devil is not on the same level of God. He is not even on the same level as our Angel Brother The Archangel Saint Michael. The Prince of the Heavenly places. When defeating the devil in the fall he simply said "The Lord Rebuke You!"

This shirt and prayer is based off of That Rebuke. Made with images of a real statue located in San Miguel Hill, Mexico City

The statue is located on a high platform, overlooking the city, and is a symbol of faith and spiritual protection.
